Plating and Metal Covering
Silver, zinc and tin plating through certified vendors, coordinated with your machining job.
Plating is a surface covering in which a metal is deposited on a conductive surface. Plating has been done for hundreds of years and it is also critical for modern technology. There are several plating methods and many variations. In one method, a solid surface is covered with a metal sheet, and then heat and pressure are applied to fuse them (a version of this is Sheffield plate). Other plating techniques include electroplating, vapor deposition under vacuum and sputter deposition. Recently, plating often refers to using liquids. Metallizing refers to coating metal on non-metallic objects.

Anodizing Electrical Circuits

Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. The process is called anodizing because the part to be treated forms the anode electrode of an electrical circuit.

Casting with Alloys

Casting is a manufacturing process in which a liquid material is poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process.
